PRESENTATION OF RESEARCH TOPICS OF MBA MANAGEMENT IN AGRIBUSINESS STUDENTS

On February 21-22, 2025, students of the MBA Management in Agribusiness program at the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) had the opportunity to participate in an exceptional academic event. During this event, prestigious international experts, Prof. Dr. WJM (Wim) Heijman from Tilburg University and the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, along with Katarzyna A. Kurek from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, provided valuable guidance on the methodology for writing master’s theses.

The main objective of the event was to outline the key research directions that students can pursue in their master’s theses. The experts emphasized the importance of the practical applicability of research topics, highlighting the necessity of a strategic and innovative approach in agribusiness. During the session, students presented their own research topics, arguing their relevance and potential impact on the agri-food sector. This active involvement allows students to develop essential research and analytical skills, preparing them for the challenges of the professional environment.

A crucial aspect of this program is the strong connection between academia and the business environment, ensuring that studies remain relevant to current labor market requirements. By collaborating with international experts and industry professionals, students gain a practical perspective on agribusiness challenges and valuable networking opportunities.

The necessity of such an international program stems from global trends in the agri-food sector, which require an interdisciplinary and innovative approach. Students are prepared to become leaders in this field, possessing both theoretical and practical skills relevant to a dynamic economic environment.

A concrete example of UTM’s commitment to promoting agricultural education is the e-agriMBA project. This initiative aims to integrate new technologies into agribusiness education, providing students with access to modern digital resources, interactive learning methods, and international collaboration opportunities. The project supports the development of students’ digital and managerial skills, preparing them for the challenges of the digital economy and contributing to innovation in the agri-food sector.

By organizing such events, UTM reaffirms its commitment to academic excellence. The institution plays a crucial role in promoting agricultural education, facilitating the development of programs that address current challenges and providing students with the necessary resources to excel in the field of agribusiness.

This event is organized within the e-AgriMBA project “Electronic Pan-European Learning System for Sustainable Agribusiness MBA Education”.
